Am I the only avid watcher of The Amazing Race who hates to hear "This is not an elimination round".
Although I may not want to see my favourites gone, I think that every round should be an elimination round.
1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

I personally like the non-elimination rounds. For one thing, it gives us three more weeks of TAR to watch! But I also enjoy the element of suspense it provides. Sometimes I get crazy because a team I don't like gets saved - but even then, it adds to my overall enjoyment. Do you find this valuable?

I basicliy think what gypsy214 thinks non eliamation leg hold up suspenseand and it's good when a team you like comes last on a nel.the thing I don't like is the nel penatly ( no cash and clothes , marked for eliamation) the only good penatly is the speed bump but they make that to easy Do you find this valuable?

I could be wrong but the "non-elimination leg" does not extend the length of the series. The time has already been booked with CBS. We don't get extra episodes.

I never said we did. If there were no non-elimination legs, then the producers of the show would book less time with CBS. As a matter of fact, that's probably exactly why they DO have NELs. Without the three NELs, the show would only have 9 episodes instead of 12, and CBS would have to be thinking about how to fill time.
