International Contestants?

I've read the T&Cs carefully and its clear only US citizens can appear on the show. Why?Surely an extra dimension could be added to have a bunch of international contestants. The show already has a large following around the globe why not get more partisan viewer involvement. Sure visa requirements may vary slightly from country to country - but given the logistics of running the show already I cant see this being a huge obstacle (it'd be easy enough for producers to cherry-pick the countries of origin of contestants so that all could get the relevant visas). I'd be more than happy to be part of the first ever truly international Amazing race (and as a dual-passport holder could represent either UK or Australia). Imagine the scenes of frustration/jubilation as all eth european teams stroll through passport controls in european legs ahead of the US teams only to be held up in return when entering US. Is there any reason why this cant happen? 9 out of 9 found this valuable. Do you? |

I would love to be on the race....I'm a canadian citizen and the race has come thru Canada a couple of times....why can we not become a contestant? We are countries that rely on one another for many things!

There is a international verson tar china rush it's 10 teams from around the world come and race in china the grand prize in a world tour it may not go around the world but it's tar none the less 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

As you did not answer the question that was posted by DadAgain, I will ask again, what is the reasoning that contestants from Canada or other countries are not able to participate in TAR? Please provide a complete answer with proper legal reasoning.

Entirely agree!! Why only US residents? Why isn't there an Amazing Race for Europe aswell? It's sad... I'd sign up for it right this second!
