| linareva1 | Changing the rules - penalty for giving another team the answer | 2 | Apr 25 2011, 1:54 PM EDT by Fenwicky | ||||

We need to band together to get TAR producers to introduce a penalty for the sort of behavior that went on last night. When Zev/Justin told the Globetrotters, they probaly didn't think that they in turn would tell another team, and so on....
If all the teams had actually had to complete the Lichtenstein task themselves, the resutls would have been much closer. Also, ALL answers should be written and not orally conveyed at any leg to prevent other teams from overhearing the answer, which was seen in this leg as well as many others.

I really think Canadians should be allowed to audition on the U.S. version of the Amazing Race. Canada and the U.S. are so close in culture, geography, and almost every aspect of everyday life, that it's basically the same country (excluding Quebec). I would love to audition for the Amazing Race, and who knows, maybe a few Canadian pairs could make it onto the show.
As for the drama and suspense, that it the main reason I love the show. Sure, the scenery is beautiful, and learning about different cultures great, but if that was my main purpose for watching the show, then I might as well be watching the Discovery channel, or the Travel channel. The suspense when a team misses a flight, the drama when teams fight over a taxi, the fingernail biting moments as the last two teams race to the finish line, those are the reasons I absolutely LOVE the Amazing Race.

Am I the only avid watcher of The Amazing Race who hates to hear "This is not an elimination round".
Although I may not want to see my favourites gone, I think that every round should be an elimination round.

When a team comes in first at the end of each episode it is announced that this team will be the "first to leave". It might have happened in the past but it seems to me that every week the "first team to arrive" ends up starting with the rest of the teams because of various reasons (airport closed until morning etc.)
Where is the advantage to coming in first other than a prize?

I have a new twist idea called the Dead End, it can appear after before any cluebox if a team suffers a dead end they will take a clue that clue will give them a hint where they have to get a different clue, after they get the clue they may continue on with the race

ARE the producers listening - CANADIAN edition - you have a Phillipines edition.
If you let Canadians compete, think of the currency savings... If some Canadian marketing company is reading this... think of all the viewers and advertising revenues - create a Canadian show. LJD Waterloo Ontario Canada

Technically it's the Amazing Race ASIA which has contestants from as far away as Japan and India. You might be thinking of Survivor: Philippines which had only Filipino contestants.

| TAR_Survivor | New Twist: The Give Way! | 2 | Jun 3 2009, 2:58 AM EDT by TAR_Survivor | ||||
|
Thread started: Mar 27 2009, 5:46 AM EDT

I have an idea for a new twist which would be good for TAR it is called The Give Way.
Here is how it works: A Give Way is just like a Yeild / U-turn in the way that a 1 team has to use The Give Way on another team and they can only do it once. If a team suffers the Give Way they have to wait at the place were they recieved the Give Way until the team behind them comes and collects their clue after that team collects their clue them may leave which means they are giving way to that team thus the name give way. If a team in last place has the Give Way used on them then they can just continue on as they were before. This could be either a bad or good thing for the teams because the team that uses the Give Way does not know how close the teams are to the other team that they have used the Give Way to. For example you may have the Give Way used on you but as soon as you arrive and find out the team might be right behind you so you can go straight away but you may have the give way used on you and the team behind you may be days away for you. The best bit about the Give Way is it's unpredictibility. I think it is a good idea what do you guys think about it?

Has anyone else noticed that after all this time, the Episode Summaries for AR11 are incomplete? What most people consider to be leg 9 is not from Kuala Lumpur to Hong Kong, it is from Krakow to Kuala Lumpur, the episode where Uchenna/Joyce are stranded in Frankfurt and eliminated. It would be great to see this gap, the only one I know of for AR11, fixed.

i think that in a future season of amazing race there should be 6 teams that exceeded in the amazing race (Finalists) and teams that were eliminated early (8th or lower)
All Stars - Kris and Jon, Nick & Don, Colin & Christie, BJ & Tyler, Blake & Paige, Kelly & Jon Second Chances - Debbie & Bianca, Lena & Kristy, Mark & Bill, Lorena & Jason, Duke & Lauren, Dennis & Erika The experiment will show if these second chance teams are strong but made a mistake, or if they are just not strong racers. This will seperate the good from the bad!

In one of the seasons, there should be one new contestant (one we have never seen before) paired up with a contestant from a past race...
Also: there should be something called Traffic Light where Red Light: One person from one team does a task with one person from another team. Yellow Light: the other two people have to find the clue together which is located at a 50m radius around the area. Green Light: When the person completes the task and the person finds the clue and they can continue the race

i really think they should add in a wild card round
when a person comes to the clue box there should be only 1 diffferent clue in which they have written wild card. when the unlucky team member gets it. that team must select 1 of the previous team to compete with them in a task. the team that wins must continue and the other must be out. would be fun what say? |

There should be a rule called; UPLOAD. This will be placed before a roadblock, the teams that uses the upload will be helping another team.
For example, Mary & Jane uses the upload on James & Peter, M & J must also specifically indicate which team they want J & P to ''help'' complete the roadblock. If M & J wants J & P to complete the roadblock for Nick & Sarah, they must do so. This means that either James or Peter have to do the roadblock for Nick & Sarah too, they will have to complete the roadbloack 2 times before getting their next clue. Nick & Sarah can skip the roadblock and proceed on with their next task. Mary & Jane have just uploaded more stress on James & Peter. :D Well, thats my idea...might be a little confusing, but if you read hard enough, you will definitely understand. :D

I think the Race should have something called a "Fork in the Road". At that point EACH team member would have to complete a separate task and if either or both failed, there would be a time penalty to make them wait till they could continue.
