Crossover Reality Stars Jordan and Jeff Talk "TAR"

Date: 2/8/10

Jordan & Jeff

The winner and runner-up of the latest season of "Big Brother"
hardly got out of the "Big Brother" house before they were asked if they wanted to compete in a race around the world. According to EW.com, a mere three days passed before "TAR" producers asked the cute couple if they'd sign up for the show.

Neither had seen "TAR" but Jeff says, “We thought we were going to coast through it like BB, you know, like ‘oh we never saw this before’ and Jordan is like, ‘I never watched BB so I can do this, too,’” We all know that that "TAR" isn't a something the racers, "coast through," so I'm eager to see where this attitude gets them!

Former Teacher Honored by Winners' WristbandsDate: 12/14/2009As you watched the Meghan and Cheyne show this season, aka TAR15, did you spy the red wristbands that the winning duo sported during the season? Visible in almost every shot of the couple, the red "Fight ALS" wristbands were symbolic of their support for former SD Spirit Coach and Director, Howie Hawver, from their high school alma mater, Patrick Henry High School. Hawver, who coached Meghan Rickey in high school, was diagnosed with a Lou Gehrig's Disease late last year. Asked about the duo, Hawver said he wasn't surprised to see them win. In an interview with XKSanDiego.com, Hawver said: XK: What was your first reaction when you seen the two had won the million dollars? Howie Hawver: Obviously, I was excited to see them come running in first with those huge smiles on their faces. I was proud of them but not surprised. They're gamers, they always knew how to bring out their best when they need to. They really did when they counted the chips. XK: How often did you watch and track how they were doing on the Amazing Race? HH: My wife, Lianne and I watched every week at her family's Sunday dinners. After a couple of weeks, most of her family was pulling for them too.You can read the full interview with Howie Hawver here.SOURCE: AMAZING RACE CHAMPS HONOR HAWVERBY: WILD-KATADD A COMMENTThe Mystery of the Miscounted ChipsDate: 12/13/2009Brian and Ericka, who finished in third place in "The Amazing Race 15," recently claimed in a People magazine interview that their dealer miscounted their chips at the final Roadblock, which contributed to their loss.I have no idea how valid their accusation may be, but I do wonder how wise it was for the producers to introduce the possibility of human error (a human other than the racers, that is) into the final, decisive Roadblock. Can you think of another season-ending Roadblock that relied on the skill of a non-racer? Anyone have more info about these alleged miscounted chips? The rest of the interview was interesting too: Ericka talks about her tantrums, the pair discuss their marriage, and more. Read it here. BY: mdashesADD A COMMENTCould Flight Time Put on a Pair of Dancin' Shoes?!Date: 12/8/2009In a recent interview with Flight Time and Big Easy, EW asked if the duo would be open to any other reality show opportunities in the path of Survivor's Rob and Amber, and now Big Brother's Jordan Lloyd and Jeff Schroeder. Not surprisingly Flight Time leaves the field wide open for a number of possibilities, " I feel like I can do anything now. I could do Survivor. I enjoy watching Dancing with the Stars and I think I'm a pretty good dancer. We're up for anything." While I don't think that either Flight Time or Big Easy are likely to fly under the radar on Survivor, I do think those two already have some pretty good moves, so ABC, listen up and add Flight Time to your dance card! What do you think? Would Flight Time or Big Easy make good contestant fodder on another reality TV show, and if so, which one?BY: WILD-KATADD A COMMENT Meghan and Cheyne Take Amazing Race 15!Date: 12/6/2009After a whirlwind trip around the world in 21 days, Amazing Race 15 (aka The Meghan and Cheyne Show) comes to close in a seriously predictable finale. Twenty-three year old couple-since-grade-school, Meghan Rickey and Cheyne Whitney took the $1 million prize money in what most of us would call a complete blow-out.Though it may have seemed that there may have been a fighting chance for either Brian and Ericka or Sam and Dan at some point during the episode, don't fool yourself -- that's simply called editing!
