I've read the T&Cs carefully and its clear only US citizens can appear on the show. Why?
Surely an extra dimension could be added to have a bunch of international contestants. The show already has a large following around the globe why not get more partisan viewer involvement. Sure visa requirements may vary slightly from country to country - but given the logistics of running the show already I cant see this being a huge obstacle (it'd be easy enough for producers to cherry-pick the countries of origin of contestants so that all could get the relevant visas). I'd be more than happy to be part of the first ever truly international Amazing race (and as a dual-passport holder could represent either UK or Australia). Imagine the scenes of frustration/jubilation as all eth european teams stroll through passport controls in european legs ahead of the US teams only to be held up in return when entering US. Is there any reason why this cant happen?

I went to get the application for TAR 19 daily. All of a sudden it was available on 1/6/11. I just noticed today that it was due by 1/4/11. Why was it due so quickly when it wasn't up that long. Last year it was available right after the end of the show. Did it get messed up because of TAR18? Please tell me this was a misprint!! Thank you!

I'm a doctor residing and practicing in Nigeria. I really feel ther is more to gain by making the show trully international. The show is truly amazing and mindblowing and I would really love to be a part of it! Anything can be fixed. I dont think its too much of a touble to get visas for 10differnt countries at most...come on lets share the joy, fun and money!

In every country there are locals who participate in the challenges, judging, handing out the next clue, etc. Sometimes they must do this for hours because some teams are so far behind. Are these people paid for their participation? What about the person who welcomes each team to the mat? Sometimes it's 4 or 5 AM when a team comes in or leaves, needing a new envelope with directions.

Hey, A Question or even a discussion!!
What do the racers do after they're eliminated? It seems (from like wikipedia and the trivia pages) tht they go to a holiday house where they stay there for like 2 weeks and then they go together to the finish line! However, when I was looking at Christy's myspace, I saw pictures of her in Kazakhastan and Moscow....does tht mean some teams don't go to the holiday house and follow Phil around?
